My, what a week it has been.  Our first official fashion launch for Mardi Gras Week at the exciting [un]Gendered fashion show by the fabulous Aurora Group, and a highly personal proposal going catwalk viral.  Suffice to say the the love and support has been overwhelming.

We wanted to write to say thankyou, but moreso, wanted to shed light on the brand, it’s beginnings, and a little on the pair of us.

We have absolutely no background in fashion.  Either of us.  Hannah was a personal trainer with a fitness background and I was a behavioural therapist with a psychology background.

So how the hell did this happen?

Some fun facts:

#1.  The brand was initially run by Cass and her brother Jordan

#2.  The first person Cass had confided her Androswag plans with, before it even had a name, was Hannah.  They were out at Sundaylicious.  They’d just met.

#3.  Hannah has previously run her own business as a personal trainer, fitness coach, and even trained Miss Australia in modelling.

When we got together, it was based on a mutual chemistry, completely outside of business.  We were just two girls who’s feelings for each other grew.  It was like nothing else.  No pressure, no u-hauling, no expectations.  It was the best thing to ever happen to me.

What happened next was the icing on an already delicious cake, and a bit of a blessing in disguise.  Left running Androswag on my own after my brother left to pursue his goals, I’d asked Han if she ‘..liked clothes.. y’know, clothes and shopping..? ‘ I believe, was verbatim.  From there it was apparent we shared a mutual passion for sexy ‘boy’ clothing.  As it turned out, Hannah has a visual arts background, and can sketch ideas (bonus!), and had also run her own PT business. Doesn’t take a genius to work out it was total fate.

Today we both bust ass and absolutely love and are committed to this brand of swag.  Imagine, dream girl, dream job, and getting to do the job together.  Somebody pinch me.

Now we’re engaged.  And all over social media.  ALL over.  I mean, Sydney Mardi Gras, Samesame, The Star Observer, That Girl James, Equal Marriage Rights Australia, Her Social App.

It’s disgusting.  And I secretly love it.

Thanks for reading.
